WHAT A HOT SUMMER CONCERT!!

With the partnership of Agape Development and Restoration Community Church Houston, GoBU was able to bring a summer vibe to our community that was unforgettable! We were able to celebrate Juneteenth and Father's Day together with live performances from BrvndonP, MvkeyyJ, and Houston's own, Marshall Camp. This was the first of many more to come! We felt truly blessed to offer this concert completely free to the community, and we'd love your support to do more events like this in the near future.

Watch our highlight video of the concert below!

WHAT'S GOOD IN AFRICA?

In 2019, our dedicated GoBU member and exceptional videographer, Carlos Willis, returned to Mozambique with a team from Crossover Bible Fellowship to evangelize and provide aid to the local community. During this mission, Carlos connected with a young man named Saide, the only English speaker in the group of new converts. The Holy Spirit orchestrated a profound conversation between them about faith and life's challenges.

Before the mission trip concluded, Carlos and Saide formed a bond that would endure for the next five years. Upon returning to the United States, Carlos shared Saide's educational barriers with a few of his brothers from

church and CC Achilefu, the founder of GoBU, to garner financial support for Saide. After five years of dedicated study, overcoming the loss of his father, and navigating numerous obstacles in his community, Saide recently graduated from university with distinction and an unshakeable faith in Christ.

GoBU is now committed to supporting an orphan school in Rwanda. If you would like to contribute to our mission of educating and ministering to a village of children through their local church, please click below to make a tax-deductible donation.

LET US PRAY FOR …

Praise report:

  • By God's grace, we are getting closer to bringing the "In the Chair" outreach to a local college campus. A campus ministry is partnering with us to help with logistics. Please pray for favor as we seek a high-traffic spot on campus to reach as many college students as possible.

Praise report:

  • We are doing our best to secure funding and support for the Kikbak. This will help us represent the Kingdom well, hire necessary staff like security guards, and cover rent and insurance. It's a big task, but not too big for our God! Please join us in prayer that our Father will send the right monthly partners and connect us with supportive influences to promote the event and find additional cost-effective marketing strategies.
